Forever 21 Cardigan/LC Lauren Conrad Jeans from Kohl’s/Old Navy Maternity Tank/Ingrid & Isabel Belly Band/Forever 21 Necklace
How far along: 25 Weeks
Baby’s Size: Napa Cabbage (or a baseball glove!)
Symptoms: Crazy dreams, itchy belly, and smallest bladder ever.
Food Cravings: I had to think long and hard about this one because I didn’t really have a big appetite for anything in particular this month. I guess chicken tenders were my favorite thing to eat on nights when I didn’t feel like cooking, but I wouldn’t call it a craving.
Food Aversions: Fish still doesn’t jive with me, as well as chicken unless it’s breaded (see above).
Wearing: These ribbed maternity tanks from Old Navy are for sure my favorite thing to wear right now. Most of my pre-pregnancy shirts are now too short or just don’t flatter my bump, and these tanks go with literally everything. I’m wearing one in the photos above.
Best moments: Feeling strong kicks! I can’t even describe how weird it is to feel the baby kicking and twirling around in there. I could feel him move starting around 16/17 weeks and it just felt like little wiggles every once in a while, but now he is strong enough for Nate to feel kicks from the outside and the movement is much more regular. He seems to even have a schedule! He kicks the most around 10am, 4pm, and just before bed. It’s so fun when Nate has his hand on my belly and we both say “Ooo!” at the same time, because we both felt him! I can see my stomach moving from the outside too, though that part really creeps me out.
Worst moments: I came down with a cold or something around 22 weeks which lingered FOREVER, and I’m starting to struggle when bending down now that my belly has grown. I also got really tired towards the end of this month, but that could just be a product our impending move.
Looking Forward to: Moving into our new home next week and deciding which bedroom will be the nursery.
Missing: I’m kind of missing hard core workouts recently. I am walking and swimming for exercise, with light weights here and there, but I miss sprinting and running. It’s the best way for me to relieve stress and with our big move coming up, I could use a little stress relief. Luckily I have had a lot of good books catch my attention recently so reading is my go-to way to relax more than ever before.
