Charlotte Russe Dress/Francesca’s Necklace
How far along: 30 Weeks
Baby’s Size: Summer Cantaloupe (about 17 inches long and 3.5 lbs)
Symptoms: I don’t want to get graphic, but my biggest symptom this month was boob related. Let’s just say, I’ll be surprised if breastfeeding is an issue for me. Besides that, I’m a little more tired lately. It might be an iron thing, (when my levels were last checked I was on the low end) so I’m trying to up my intake of iron-rich foods. I’m also hot most of the time now. I assume that will be the case until the very end now that it is summer.
Food Cravings: Crackers paired with a mozzarella stick are my favorite go-to snack and I’ve also been making a lot of crab salad to eat for lunch. It’s easy to whip up, satisfying, and a great alternative to meat (see below). I wouldn’t call either of these things real cravings though, just preferences like any non-pregnant person would have.
Food Aversions: Still not feeling fish and most meat grosses me out.
Wearing: Lots of dresses. They are the most cool and comfortable thing to wear on hot days. This SheIn dress is my absolute FAVORITE. I also can’t forget to mention that Lauren Conrad came out with a maternity line at Kohl’s this month and I’m obsessed. This dress is my favorite from the collection.
Best moments: Entering the third trimester!! I can’t believe we are on the home stretch. We have gotten a lot done in the baby’s room. We painted it a light grey, put down a rug, and have quite a lot of clothes and gear in there thanks to our super generous friends and family! As far as my little man goes, I started to feel him hiccup this month and that was pretty cute. He also kicks even harder now. It startles me sometimes! Especially when he hits my rib cage.
Worst moments: I struggled to gain weight this month. That freaked me out, but my belly is still growing and, according to the doctor, everything is still measuring on track. I’m just a bit on the small side (which is crazy to me because my belly feels huge!). Luckily I gained well in the first half of my pregnancy, so I’m still on track to gain the proper 25-35 lbs by the end, even though I hit a little bit of a plateau for a few weeks.
Looking Forward to: Continuing to decorate and put together the baby’s room!
Missing: Enjoying the summer weather! This is one of my favorite times of the year, and it’s hard to stay outside too long because I get so freaking hot and I worry about getting dehydrated. I also get Braxton Hicks on hot days when I am active outdoors, so I’m trying to limit that.
