I finally got the second ear piercing that I had been wanting for months! It’s more like a small gathering right now but I’m loving the start of my ear party. I want to get a third at some point, and maybe a cartilage piercing too.

What’s so funny is I originally thought I’d go to Claire’s to get my second piercing because that’s where I got the first one at the age of 12 or 13 and I honestly didn’t know where else to go! But when I walked into my local store, the sales associate who would be shooting the hole into my ear may or may not have been hungover…my heart started to race at the thought of my lobes being in her hands so I followed my instincts and high-tailed it out of there. I went down the hall to Icing where a lovely, sober, alive, and energetic young woman who did not mumble inaudibly told me about my earring options and I’m so glad I went there instead!

I’m excited to try different earring combos when this piercing heals. I love that I can wear a simple stud and a statement earring at the same time. I want to do a post with a bunch of “ear party” combinations so that’s probably going up tomorrow.
