BOY!!!
I’m a planner, I don’t like surprises, and luckily for me my husband is the same way. So when it came to whether or not we wanted to find out the sex of the baby at the 2nd trimester anatomy scan, it was a no-brain-er: we were dying to know! I really had no guesses as to what gender the baby was. I had no clue. As we got closer to the date of the ultrasound, everyone around me had decided that the baby was a girl, so I started to think the same. But the minute the ultrasound began and I saw our baby wiggling around, I just had this overwhelming feeling that it was a boy. After the tech checked out practically every other organ in baby’s body, we finally got to the good part. We all saw immediately that there was no denying this was a baby boy! The old wives’ tales were so wrong! Although I know nothing about little boys and I am far from a sports/action movie/car fanatic, I am so excited to have a mini-Nate and now I just want it to be August!!
When it came to telling our family what we were having, my aunt threw us a gender reveal party in which I’ll always remember. It was so fun hearing everyone’s guesses and watching their reaction to the news. Seeing all my family there and their excitement made me realize how immensely our baby boy is loved already.
