Spring is one of my favorite seasons to dress for because I love florals, stripes, pastels, and of course {finally} shedding those heavy winter layers. Below is my list of wardrobe must-haves for spring.
- Colorful Jewelry: Spring to me means more color and I love the idea of adding it in a subtle way with jewelry. These Baublebar earrings would add a nice punch of pink to an otherwise colorless outfit.
- Something Floral: I think this one is pretty obvious. The arrival of spring obviously means flowers galore and to not add this cheery print to your wardrobe this time of year is practically criminal. My go-to floral piece is a swingy dress.
- LWD: I love the emergence of white this time of year, especially in the form of a little white dress. This Charlotte Russe dress could be worn casually with a flat sandal on the weekends, or dressed up with heels for a nice day-time event.
- LWB: A crisp, little white bag is a good way to lighten up an outfit for spring, not to mention it goes with absolutely everything. The price of this Charlotte Russe bag is unbeatable.
- Lace-Up Sandals: The lace-up shoe trend from seasons past doesn’t seem to be going anywhere this year. I love the color and style of this LC Lauren Conrad pair.
- Lightweight Sweater: I have this H&M cardigan in beige and it’s probably the most worn item in my closet this time of year. I am always itching to break out the short sleeves, but there is still a cool breeze in the air that makes having a light layer very necessary. The millennial pink shade is very in right now and is nice for spring.
- Slide Sandals: I love the slide sandal trend. They are so comfortable and go with everything. And who doesn’t like shoes that you can just slip on as an afterthought on the way out the door? I love the sophisticated style of this white H&M pair.
- Ripped Boyfriend Jeans: When the weather heats up, my jeggings often take a back seat to a great pair of loose-fitting BF jeans. They are slightly cooler and the shorter hem makes them perfect for walking on the beach or showing off a great pair of heels on a dinner date.
- Metallic Heeled Sandal: Spring always means an uptick in special occasions on my social calendar. Between graduations and the arrival of wedding season, a pair of metallic strappy, dainty heels are a must to pair with any dress. This rose gold LC Lauren Conrad pair is my absolute favorite. They go with everything and are a little more interesting than a plain nude pair.
- Go-to Sunglasses: I tend to just have one or two pairs of sunglasses that I reach for all spring and summer long. A tortoise print and slight cat eye style, like this J.Crew Factory pair, is my go-to.
- Something Striped: It just wouldn’t be spring or summer without a nautical stripe. This Zara top is a more chic version of the typical stripe top. I love the pearls on the sleeves!
- Light Summer Scarf: On cooler Michigan spring days, I always feel the need to add a scarf, but I don’t want to even look at a heavy winter scarf. This summer scarf with the most subtle coral embroidery is perfect to pair with a jean jacket on a cool spring day, and later with a simple tank on a hot summer day.
- Breezy Blouse: After a long winter spent in heavy knits and lots of layers, I really start to miss a light and breezy peasant blouse. I love the light embroidery and tassels on this Zara top.
